The organizers of African Fashion for Peace have disclosed that all hands are on desk for the staging of 2021 edition of the brand.
African Fashion for Peace is an annual fashion show geared towards building and promoting peace through fashion. With focus of giving back to the society especially the less privileges and those internally displaced as a result of incessant insecurities, unrest, insurgency or natural disasters in Africa.
According to the Executive Director of African Fashion for Peace, Hopez Chioma who stated on Tuesday during press briefing in Abuja that, this year edition of African Fashion for Peace with the aim of depicting African rich cultural heritage, values, norms; promoting normalcy, morality and peace in Africa and across the globe through fashion.
The theme of this year edition is “Tolerance; a veritable tool for peace building”. We are trusting God and making efforts in the midst of uncertainties, to tolerate one another. And there is need to advocate tolerance in our inter and intrafimiliar relationship, Hopes stated.
Further speaking she said, On 25th September , World Ambassadors, Inspirational Speakers, Fashion enthusiasts, designers, fashion icons, friends and well wishers from all walks of life will convene at the Reiz Continental Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria, for the fourth edition of AFRICA FASHION FOR PEACE AND GLOBAL PEACE AMBASSADOR AWARDS.
Hopez Chioma Offor, CEO of Hopez Tude Rizons Ltd and the brain behind the event, said that she started the annual event in 2018 because of her love for fashion , peace and charity. We encountered numerous challenges but overcame because of our tenacity. Sponsorship has been a big issue for us but we are trusting God for better editions ahead of us.
